Fear not friend, I’ve got you covered. I’ve had to go through this myself many times and I’m going to explain to you how to find an apartment in Vancouver.
You’ll want to search websites like Craigslist.org and Padmapper.com to find an apartment in Vancouver. Both of these sites are very active for rental listings in the Greater Vancouver Area and will provide you the most abundant selection available.
Let’s take a look at how to use these websites so you can easily navigate and find what you’re looking for.
Step 1: Go to https://vancouver.craigslist.org/
Step 2: Under the Housing section click on apts/housing – you can also check out rooms/shared if you don’t mind a roommate or post in rooms wanted to let people know you’re looking for a room.
Step 3: Look for the gallery tab and switch your viewing style to “map”
Step 4: On the left hand side enter your budget range and how many bedrooms and bathrooms you are looking for.
Following these steps and can navigate around the city map and click on apartments what you wish to view.
Step 1: Go To https://www.padmapper.com/apartments/vancouver-bc
Step 2: On the right hand side you can adjust your budget and requirements.
Of the two websites Craigslist tends to have the most listings, but padmapper might have listings that Craigslist doesn’t. I would always suggest checking both websites.
Sure. If you google Vancouver Apartment rents you’ll find a bunch of small websites each offering only a hand full of listings. Most rental agencies post their listings on craigslist to get exposure because the rental agencies in the city know that people use craigslist to look for rentals. You can save your self time by just using craigslist and padmapper.
You might even notice in the craigslist posts that certain listings have links to the rental agency’s websites. If you do see rental agency’s websites I suggest copying the address and checking them out. They might have other Vancouver apartments you can check out too.
